Download Students

After connecting the Edval to the SF Org, you can proceed with the Publish process.

First, do the Publish Students

Open the Edval app > File > Sync Now

Tick the Publish Students and click Go! After syncing, it will create Student Records in the SF Org.

Review the record details. Make sure all the Student details and count from the Edval app are synced successfully in the SF Org.

Get/Download Students

If you update the student record in the SF Org, and you also want to add the changes in the Edval file, you can do that by opening the Edval app and going to the File > Sync Now > tick Download Students > click Go!

In this example we will execute the Get Students process but the other processes are similar.

To retrieve new or updated student data from your Salesforce Org, follow these steps.

Open the Edval app and going to the File > Sync Now > tick Download Students > click Go!

After the process, any changes made from the SF Org will be copied over to the Edval file.

Example Scenario

Student Record before doing the Get/Download Students.

Update the First Name field in the SF Org.

Ex. First Name: Dawn Bill

...

Do the Get/Download Students to update the First Name in the Edval file.

It will display the success message “Synchronization is complete!”.

After the process, check the student record’s First Name value. It should be updated based on the SF Org value.

The First Name is updated from Bill to Dawn Bill in the Edval file.
