PosiGive Installation and Configuration Guide - PosiGive
The purpose of this guide is to step you through the process of installing and configuring the PosiGive fundraising solution and its various components into a Salesforce NPC org.
Prerequisites: This guide is intended for someone with Salesforce admin experience. Ideally, you should have a Salesforce Admin Certificate and be familiar with Agentforce Non-Profit/NPC. If you are intending to install into an existing Salesforce org, you should have admin Permissions.
Steps:
Capture Client Requirements - download the requirements spreadsheet and populate if with client requirements.
Salesforce Org Preparation - If you do not already have a Salesforce org or wish to install PosiGive into a new org, then create that org.
Stripe Account Preparation - If you do not already have a Stripe account, set up a Stripe account.
Pre-install Manual Configuration - configure the Salesforce org settings that cannot be automated including enabling Person Accounts, Digital Experiences, Lightning Web Security, and indexing key fields.
Install PosiGive - execute the PosiGive installation scripts or apply the YML deployment script to install packages and load configuration data into your Salesforce org.
Post-install Manual Configuration - complete the required post-installation configuration steps to finalise the setup, using your PosiGive configuration spreadsheet.
Connect your Stripe Account - set up a new PosiPay Gateway account and link it to your Stripe account for payment processing.
Configure Preferences - configure key PosiGive preferences that control how gifts, acknowledgements, and communications behave across your fundraising workflows.
Comms Templates configuration - create custom Microsoft Word template designs for receipts and statements using Salesforce OmniStudio Document Generator.
Execute the Quick Test Plan - validate your PosiGive installation by testing major functions including gift entry, payment processing, receipting, and reconciliation.
Import data (Optional) - convert and import data from an existing fundraising platform into your PosiGive org using Data Loader and provided CSV templates.
With a bit of experience, this entire process should take about 1 hour.
