New features 

Communications Log functionality:

• Custom Tabs

  • Communications Log 

  • Communications Log Templates 

  • Communications Profile 

• Added custom objects: 

• In the Communications Log Templates tab: 

  • Create new record  

  • Click Save 

  • In the details page, select a Body Merge Template (Email Templates) and click Save.  

• In the Communications Profile tab: 

  • Create new record: 

    • Channel is set to Email (Only Email is supported for now)  

• Send Communications 

  • On the Contact list view, a button named “Send Communications” is added to support bulk email sending

    • Select any Contact and click Send Communications button

    • A Send Communications dialog will display

1. Send to Selected Contacts – the email will be send only to the selected contacts and send to all Contacts in the list view – the email will be send to all the Contacts in the list view selected

2.  Select any Communication Profile record 

3. Select any Channel (Email is only supported for now) 

4. Select any Templates to be used in sending the email

5. Shows the number of Contact records that are selected from the list view

• Click Proceed button and a confirmation dialog will display

• A communication log record is created after processing.     

• Custom Settings – Communication Log Field Mapping 

  • A custom setting is added to store the Contact lookup field to be used in Opportunity and Account

• Email sending in Opportunity

  • When an opportunity is created and it will match the criteria below, an automation will run to create a communication log records and it will also send an email. 

• Opportunity

  • Stage – Closed Won

  •  Has Contact/Account and has email

  •  Channel – Email

  • Has Communications Log Template 

• Chevron 

  • To be used in any form that requires a path especially when there are many pages in a form
