When DPE is run without going through the flow, the Search Description will be updated for all contacts with Student, Staff, and Carer statuses having the Current value. It will be left untouched if the statuses are not Current.
When the flow is run, the DPE will run at the scheduled time and update the Search Description field in the Contact.
Flow Creation of Populate Search Description in Contact
Go to Set up > Flow > Click New Flow
Select Schedule-Triggered Flow and click Create.
Set a Schedule - Start Date, Start Time, and Frequency.
Note: You need to set the schedule to a future date and time, as a schedule-triggered flow can’t run on a date/time that’s already occurred.
Add Action Element into the flow and in the New Action window:
Select Data Processing Engine, in the Category Section.
Add the DPE Populate Search Description in the Contact
Label = Run DPE
API Name = Run_DPE (autopopulate)
Description = Runs the Populate Search Description in Contact DPE.
Click Done.
Save and name the flow.
Upon activation, the flow will run following the schedule that you have established.
