Send Communication via Email

There are available Email Templates that are provided for sending messages depending on the subject matter that you choose. You can create and customise Email Templates, see Email Template.

The “From field in the email interface is automatically populated with the email address of the user who is sending the message, ensuring that recipients can easily identify the sender.

The "To" field will automatically populate with the email address of the selected student or carer, depending on whom you are sending the email to. If multiple students are selected, all of their email addresses will be displayed.

These email addresses are retrieved from the School Email field in their respective accounts. This feature ensures that communication is streamlined and directed to the correct recipient without any manual input required.

Once done click Send and an email message will be sent to the recipient. After sending, a Task record will be created where you can see the status of the message and other important details.

Comms Template for Email

In creating an Email Template, just go to the Email Template tab by searching on the App Launcher, and on the Email Template page click New Template.

Fill in the necessary fields.

After saving, edit the Message Content section of the email template you just created and add the message content.

In the Message Content Section, add the Subject and enter the message template you would like to create.

There are available merge fields designed specifically for Email and SMS templates that automatically set in your message when the referenced field is called, making it simple to create your Email template.

Click Source first before saving.

After saving, copy the Email Template ID of the Email Template that you’ve created.

Go to the Comms Template object and click New.

Input the following necessary details
