Posimente builds products on top of the core Salesforce Sales Cloud platform and more specifically it’s industry Cloud Platforms.
PosiEd is designed primarily to work with the EDC or Education Cloud architecture.
PosiEd can work with the standard Salesforce Platform without EDC implemented. This is primarily to support environments where K to 12 features are not required, such as non-school training organizations. That being said, many of its functions are designed to take advantage of the EDC Architecture.
What do we mean when we talk about architecture? Architecture refers to the overarching database architecture which is the framework for Org functionality. EDC and other Industry Cloud Solutions have objects in common. All industry cloud solutions build on top of the core Salesforce platform that provides an underlying data architecture and capabilities, such as providing the Contacts and Accounts objects.
