Salesforce Architecture - PosiEd
Background
Posimente builds products on top of the core Salesforce Sales Cloud platform and more specifically its Industry Cloud Platforms.
PosiEd is designed primarily to work with the Education Cloud Architecture (EDC).
PosiEd can also work with the standard Salesforce Platform without EDC implemented. This is primarily to support environments where certain advanced platform features are not required.
What do we mean when we talk about architecture? Architecture refers to the overarching database architecture which is the framework for Org functionality. EDC and other Industry Cloud Solutions have objects in common. All industry cloud solutions build on top of the core Salesforce platform that provides an underlying data architecture and capabilities, such as providing the Contacts and Accounts objects.
