Mark Roll Previous Periods
In the Mark Roll interface is a Previous periods section. The details in this section will vary slightly depending upon the period in which the current session is being held. For example, if the current session is in period 3 then it is likely that periods one and two will be displayed in this section.
This is determined by looking at the school's current timetable structure timetable periods list. In particular, it will look at the entries that have been ticked in the display Mark Roll periods column. These records will be ordered by the order value and then finally the list of Day attendance session values will be retrieved and used to identify the number of previous periods.
This data will then be used to retrieve the previous periods Session attendance status from the day attendance record.
Compare with Day Attendance
On each Session record the Compare with Day Attendance flag specifies whether or not, after the Mark Roll Complete button has been pressed, that the INSERT NAME automation will be called.
This function can be customised to meet your school’s requirements but its purpose is to update the Day Attendance records, in particular the Attendance Status, Exception Status and the group of Session Attendance flags.
By default the “Session Triggered Flow“ automation causes this checkbox to be checked whenever the Session’s Mark Roll Status is set to Required. This can also be changed to meet the school’s requirements.
