FAQs - ProntoXero
Q - Can you add custom fields from the account to be synced?
A - Unfortunately this is not an available feature. This is because Xero itself has fixed fields and every Xero field has a corresponding Salesforce field.
Q - What are the unique identifiers for accounts in Xero?
A - Account name, Contact name and Email.
Q - Why has my Account name added a bunch of random looking letters and numbers after syncing to Xero?
A - Xero does not allow duplicate Contact (Salesforce Account) names, so if there is an existing contact in Xero with that name, it will append the Salesforce record ID to the name, and update the Account name in Salesforce to match.
Q - What happens if I create an Invoice with Items that are not already in Xero and sync the invoice over?
A - The Invoice will still created with blank Item Code, however the Description, Quantity and Price of the Item line in Salesforce will still be copied over the the Invoice Line Item in Xero.
Q - Are Phone, Fax and Mobile synced?
A - Yes phone, fax, mobile are included in syncing.
Q - Is my Xero Account Number stored in Salesforce?
A - Yes. The value for this field comes from the Xero Contact Account Number.
Q - Do existing Xero Item Codes show in Salesforce when creating the invoice line item?
A - Yes, during the Post-Installation Configuration you will sync Item Codes from Xero to Salesforce, and each Item Code will be created as a Product in Salesforce which is available to be added as Opportunity Products and also Invoice Line items.
Q - Why am I getting this error message 401: oauth_problem=signature_invalid&oauth_problem_advice=Failed%20to%20validate%20signature?
A - Make sure when you create your certificate the name needs to be "SalesforceXeroCertificate" exactly.
Q - Why is the Xero Org field a drop down field?
A - The Org field is a dropdown menu because the account holder may have more than one Xero Account to which invoices will be synced.
Q - How many contacts can be synced under an account to Xero?
A - Four.
Q - Can you create a Xero Credit Note in Salesforce?
A - Xero is the Master for Credit Notes, and whilst you can view the status of credit notes created in Xero within Salesforce, you cannot create a Credit Note in Salesforce.
