Shopify Contact sync
Shopify customers are saved in Salesforce as contacts
Contacts syncing is two-way; Shopify to Salesforce and vice versa.
Shopify Sync to Salesforce
After a customer placed an order via Shopify, the order details are saved and synced to Salesforce as an opportunity, the customer details, on the other hand, are saved and synced to Salesforce as contacts.
New customers are created in Salesforce with an 'Online Shop ID' which is the unique identifier between the two systems. If a repeat customer places an order in Shopify, any updates to the Customer's details are pushed back to Salesforce (override).
This sync happens every 10 mins.
Salesforce Sync to Shopify
There is a button on the Contact record called 'Sync to Online Store' which will push the Salesforce details and overwrite Shopify details <to confirm>
