Student Flag Icons - PosiEd
Overview
Each Student Contact record has a single Student Flag Icon field. This is to store the most important icon for that student. The prioritisation and setting of these icon values is done by the client or customisation.
The primary purpose of the icon is to get staff members to refer to the relevant notes or other details about the student rather than convey all details via a single icon. So if, for example, the student has both an attribute re attendance and another covering a serious medical issue, the later would take priority, but staff will be prompted to open the student details and will see both issues.
Icon Pool
Icons are referenced from a pool of icons that are preloaded into your Salesforce org.
Uploading Student Flag icons
Create a folder which stores all the icons you would like to use for the Student Flag
Zip (compress) the folder
Go to Setup > Static Resources. Click New > Enter Static Resource Information and upload the compressed folder
Setting Student Icons
A reference to a preloaded icon can then be set against student Contact records. This can be done manually but more often it is done via custom automations.
This is how to do it manually.
Add the correct path and location of the icons by going to Event > Cohort Member > Student > Contact > Student Flag Icon field.
Once icons have been set against student Contacts, you can easily check the results in any Mark Roll interface.
