Record Type IDs
Several PosiEd custom settings require a Record Type Id. This is how you get these values.
Go to Setup > Object Manager > Account > Record Type > Get the Educational Institution / Academic Department / House Record Type IDs.
Go to Setup > Home > Custom Settings > PosiEd Settings (click New if it’s not yet created) > click Manage > click New > put the Record Type IDs on the corresponding fields > click Save
Department Record Type
The Account object Record Type ID for school academic departments.
Educational Institution Record Type
The Account object Record Type ID for Educational Institutions/Schools.
House Record Type
The Account object Record Type ID for school houses.
Days to Generate Attendance Records
Defines the number of days in advance for the automatic attendance events generation process to generate event records. EG a value of 30 will cause this process to generate calendar events 30 days in advance.
Generate Attendance Start Date
Defines the starting date for the Bulk Generate Attendance process to execute. On dates prior to this the process will abort without execution.
Generate Attendance End Date
Defines the last date for the Bulk Generate Attendance process to execute. On dates after this the process will abort without execution.
Calendar End Hour
Defines the ending hour of the school day. Eg. a value of 17:00 will specify an end time of 5pm. This is used by the calendar and other components.
Calendar Start Hour
Defines the starting hour of the school day. Eg. a value of 7:00 will specify a start time of 7am. This is used by the calendar and other components.
Calendar Event Record Types
Defines the event object record types that are included in most calendar views. Values Developer Names of the record types and are separated by semi-colons. An empty value will cause all events record types to be included.
Delete Existing Attendance Records
Used by the bulk attendance generation process. A value of True dictates that existing attendance Event records will be deleted prior to attendance generation.
Default Calendar View
This is used to define the default view of most calendar components. Valid options include :
timeGridDay - Change the calendar view to Day
timeGridWeek - Change the calendar view to a week view including weekend
timeGridFourDay - Change the calendar view to weekdays
dayGridMonth - Change the calendar view to Month
listMonth - Change the calendar view to Month with the calendar entry list
listYear - Change the calendar view to display all entries for the whole year
Generate Attendance Batch Size
Define the batch size of the bulk generate attendance process. Used to ensure this process does not exceed governor limits. Recommend default = 5.
Expand Calendar Cell Height
A value of true will cause most calendar components to increase their cell height slightly.
Mark Roll Sort By Last Name
Define if you want the student’s name in the Session to be sorted alphabetically by last name or first name.
QR Code Generator
Defines the QR code generator that you use to generate the QR code for the Kiosk.
Default Profile ID
Defines the Profile you want for the User that will be created every time an Employee role record is created.
The profile assigned upon user creation will be determined by the value specified in the Default Profile Id field of the custom settings.
PosiEd Value Mapping
The PosiEd Value Mapping is used by several processes for converting field values from LISS (LISS Field, LISS Value) to field values in PosiEd (PosiEd Value) or vice versa based on the matching School Code.
