Set up PayPal as Gateway

Available in ProntoPayments versions 1.273.0 and above

PayPal is now available as a payment gateway in ProntoPayments. Please note that this is not your login for your PayPal account. Instead, this is the process for processing your credit card details via PayPal. Note that Bank Account processing is not currently supported.

 

There are two types of API in ProntoPayments Paypal

  1. Rest API 

  2. Classic API

*The recommended API Type is Rest API.

 

ADDING PAYPAL AS A NEW GATEWAY

  1. Go to App Launcher and click on ProntoPayment Settings. 

2. Click on Gateway under Basic Settings. Then click on the New Gateway button at the upper right-hand corner. 

3. Choose either PayPal Rest API or PayPal Classic API. The recommended API Type is Rest API. 

4. Enter the necessary information and Click Save. 

 

The Paypal Gateway will now be available for selection on Recurring Donations and Opportunities in Salesforce.
